Ulysse Nardin Watches
Ulysse Nardin, the Swiss watch brand was established in 1846 by a reputed watch manufacturer of the same name. The talent and the gift of Ulysse Nardin, the founder for creating watches were hereditary. His father Leonard-Fredric Nardin was also a watch crafter. Nardin took training under two masters in watch making arena.
An entire new dimension in the studio of Ulysse Nardin watches company began when the two gentlemen, Rolf W. Schnyder, the current president of the brand and a man with multiple professions (scientist, historian, watch creator, to name a few), Dr. Ludwig Oechslin joined together.
The exquisite manufacturing quality of the Ulysse Nardin watches which has been coming since the day of its birth is evident if one observes the number of international esteemed awards it has gained. 18 international gold medals as well as 4,300 first prizes - quite a number as one might witness! The watch brand is the pioneer in making some chronograph complications like the reputed Planetarium, Tellurium and Astrolabium; it is also the inventor of the Hour Striker San Marco and the Jaquemart Minute Repeater. The almost dead craft of cloisonné timepieces was also resurrected by the brand Ulysse Nardin in the decade of 1980.
Although the legend of Ulysse Nardin watches brand is recognized as the number one in marine divisions (its marine chronographs were utilized by the navies of fifty countries) till today, the chronograph fabricator has now indulged itself in creating specialized chronographs of high technology though in limited editions.
